Dr. Salimeh Sirous

She began her residency in the Department of Visceral and Transplantation Surgery at the University Hospital Knappschaftskrankenhaus Bochum. There, she gained extensive operative experience across the full spectrum of visceral surgery, with a focus on transplant surgery, vascular surgery, and endocrine and oncologic procedures. Complex surgeries involving the liver, kidneys, pancreas, and blood vessels shaped her clinical routine and laid the foundation for her precise, anatomically informed surgical approach.

Despite her dedicated work in visceral surgery, her original fascination with plastic surgery remained a constant source of motivation. After completing her basic surgical training, she made a deliberate transition to the field she had long aspired to dedicate herself to.

She continued her residency in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery as well as Hand Surgery at Alfried Krupp Hospital in Essen. There, she received a broad-based training in reconstructive microsurgery, hand surgery, burn surgery, and aesthetic surgery. Her surgical scope included complex skin and soft tissue reconstructions, breast surgery and post-bariatric procedures. The combination of reconstructive and aesthetic approaches led to the development of her current holistic treatment philosophy.

After successfully passing the board certification in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Sirous further deepened her expertise through a series of high-profile observerships with leading plastic and aesthetic surgeons. Additionally, she gained valuable hands-on experience through further clinical rotations in Iran, expanding her treatment repertoire with international perspectives and techniques.

As a dedicated board-certified specialist in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Dr. Sirous focuses on natural facial rejuvenation using minimally invasive treatments such as hyaluronic acid, biostimulators, and botulinum toxin, as well as body contouring procedures such as lifting procedures, gentle VASER liposuction for lipedema, as well as genital surgery. Her aim is to combine medical precision with aesthetic sensitivity, offering her patients authentic and harmonious results.

Alongside her clinical work, she is also active in scientific research and has published several times in international medical journals on topics such as breast cancer, medical education, and hand surgery. She is currently working on her second doctoral thesis, titled “Compression Outcome Measurement and Pressure Reevaluation in Surgical Settings after Massive Weight Loss.” The goal of her research is to develop evidence-based standards for postoperative compression therapy, thereby improving care for post-bariatric patients.

Dr. Sirous is an active member of several professional associations, including the German Society of Surgery, the Professional Association of German Surgeons, and Interplast Germany.
