Dr Narwan – a cosmetic surgeon with heart and soul

Even when first starting out in medical school, Dr Narwan knew he had a special interest in plastic and aesthetic surgery. He completed his medical degrees in Essen, in Berne (Switzerland) and at the University of California San Diego (UCSD, USA), mentored by Prof. Gottfried Lemperle (founder of VDÄPC, the Association of German Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons and of Interplast-Germany). He finished his first degree in medicine within the minimum period of enrolment before passing his state examinations. Afterwards, he successfully passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), one of the most rigorous and highly regarded medical examinations in the world. Dr Narwan completed his PhD early on – during medical school – and received the outstanding grade magna cum laude. Highly driven to achieve his goals, he initially took part in a two-year surgical basic training programme. It was very important to him to acquire a solid foundation in plastic and aesthetic surgery.

While completing his medical placements at the University Clinics in Erlangen (under Prof. Horch, former president of DGPRÄC, the German Association of Plastic Surgery) and Kassel (under Prof. Noah, the former president of VDÄPC), Dr Narwan gained high-level advanced training as a specialist in cosmetic treatments. A variety of advanced training programmes, specialist conferences and visits to clinics around the world – such as Stanford’s Division of Plastic Surgery (one of the most renowned clinics in the world) and mentorship under Dr Mendelson in Melbourne, Australia (the former president of ISAPS, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) – have rounded out his professional qualifications. Dr Narwan is a full member of several German and international specialist associations. He is also one of the few German plastic surgeons to be in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Dr Narwan’s reputation amongst his patients and colleagues in the medical profession is excellent, both in Germany and internationally. He is in contact with a large network of specialist colleagues around the world. Due to his specialisation in VASER HiDef body contouring, he is regularly invited to give talks and provide training at conferences and expert events. He is on the Allergan German and United Arab Emirates medical faculty and trains other doctors in the newest treatment methods for wrinkle filler injections and facial contouring.

As one of the few German plastic surgeons, Dr. Narwan also has the highest accreditation as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Dubai. There he carries out plastic surgical interventions and treatments at regular intervals and gives training courses for medical colleagues.
